Option 1: Zoom! Teeth Whitening Treatment

Known as the 'Chairside Whitening System', the Zoom! Teeth Whitening Treatment is performed in our Liverpool practice by an experienced dental professional. It takes as little as 45 minutes, producing immediate, long-lasting results, up to an incredible eight shades whiter, with less fadeback than other treatments.

The mouth is prepared, with particular attention being paid to the protection of the gums. Then, the specially-formulated Zoom! Gel is applied to the teeth. The patented Zoom! Light is then directed at the gel. This light causes a chemical reaction which, ultimately, results in the breakdown of stains and discolouration of the tooth enamel and dentin. The results are dramatic and immediate.

Option 2: Home Whitening

This treatment offers a more gradual approach and, unlike the Zoom! Teeth Whitening Treatment, can be a little time-consuming. Special 'trays' containing a teeth-whitening bleach are place over the teeth, not unlike a gum shield. These trays are lightweight and, once in, are easy to simply ignore. You can even sleep with them in. The length of time the trays need to be kept in (on average, two or three hours) and the number of sessions required is very much dependent upon the extent and severity of the discolouration of your teeth. Option 3: Veneers

If your teeth suffer from severe staining or discolouration, and have proven resistant to other teeth-whitening techniques, porcelain laminate veneers offer a great alternative.

Do teeth whitening treatments have any undesirable side-effects?

Some people may suffer from a little sensitivity, and in these cases, we recommend cutting down on the frequency/duration of treatment and using a sensitive-formulated toothpaste.
